LGBN is a voluntary organisation established to promote business networking and facilitation between Local Government and Corporate South Africa. LGBN facilitates the meeting of stakeholders at the highest level within targeted portfolios.




  • This is all about a bright 2015, and what LGBN and its associates have in store for you.
  • The LGBNwill kick off the year with the prestigious Public Sector Week in February 2015. 
  • The Local Government Business Network supported by various government departments
  • and theprivate sector will host the 7th Annual Public Sector Week and Golf Invitational 2015,
  • where senior public sector officials including Chief Directors, DG’s, MEC’s, HOD’s, as well
  • as senior Municipal officials such as the Mayors and Municipal Managers will be invited
  • to this networking week and golfing experience. This will take place during the Opening
  • of Parliament 2015 in Cape Town, where the Local Government Business Network will
  • host a series of government relations platforms from Tuesday 10th February till Thursday
  • 12th February 2015. This week will incorporate the 7th Annual Public Sector Invitational
  • 2015 golf challenge at the  Pearl Valley Golf Estate, Cape Town, which will roll out the red carpet to some of
  • South Africa’s golfers from the public sector and business. The success of the previous challenges
  • has made it custom for public sector officials in South Africa to head off to Cape Town to participate in this
  • challenge during the week of the Opening of Parliament.  The importance of the Public Sector Week and Golf
  • Challenge 2015 isthat it is not only about golf, but alsoabout building human interaction and social networks
  • that we need in order to build social cohesion as a developing nation.
